Syrian refugees in Lebanon want better international support in response to COVID-19

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are being told to maintain good hygiene and wash our hands even more often than we usually would. The World Health Organization is advising people to take steps such as washing our hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, using hand sanitiser when soap and water is not available, and quickly disposing of tissues after they sneeze or cough.

But what about those who don’t have access to clean water or soap?

For example, Syrian refugees in Lebanon are in dire need of preventative equipment like sanitizer and disinfectant so they can protect themselves from contracting the virus.

We are protecting ourselves and keeping it clean as much as we can. We can’t do more than this.
