Are you Roma? Illustrate your story and share it with the world!
Enter our new artistic contest to help others discover who the Roma really are, and fight prejudice and discrimination. You could win a trip to the heart of the EU in Brussels, Belgium!
The ERGO Network and Amnesty International are calling for contributions to the “My story, my rights” contest, which will last from 12 March to 30 April 2013. It is part of Amnesty’s “Human Rights Here. Roma Rights Now!” campaign, asking the EU and national governments to stop discrimination and racism against Roma.
What kinds of stories are we looking for?
Your story can be about any contribution that Roma make to their wider community. It should portray Roma as equal members of society, with rights that must be respected. It should illustrate how Romani people are working to create good relationships with others, to demand equality for their families and communities, and to fight for their rights.
Who can participate?
Young Roma aged 16 or above from a European country (including Turkey), of all skill levels in photography, painting or drawing.
