Min Aung Hlaing: Stop the Ethnic Cleansing in Myanmar now
Meet Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Army and the man that has the power to stop the brutal ethnic cleansing in Rakhine State.
We want him to order his troops to put a stop to the horrific campaign of violence that has forced over 500,000 Rohingya to flee their homes in the last month.
People are dying in their attempt to flee atrocities in Myanmar. In the latest of string of tragedies, a boat carrying dozens of refugees capsized off the coast of Bangladesh with more than 60 people, including children, presumed dead.
Those who stay behind are still at risk, Myanmar’s authorities are ruthlessly restricting their access to lifesaving humanitarian aid and assistance and are not allowing International organizations including the UN to visit the area.
The Myanmar authorities are trying to stop the world from seeing what’s actually happening on the ground.
This is the world’s fastest growing refugee crisis. This is ethnic cleansing, and Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing must end the violence now.
Sign the petition and demand that the Commander in Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing:
- Immediately end the military’s campaign of violence and human rights abuses.
- Ensure free and unimpeded access to Rakhine state to humanitarian actors, the UN, independent journalists and human rights monitors and ensure their security.
We will continue to send your signatures to the Chief Commander. We won’t stop until the violence stops. Sign your name now.
