Greece: find safe housing for refugees living in Elliniko

Women and girls are living in daily fear of sexual and physical violence in refugee camps in Elliniko in Greece, where hundreds of people are enduring uninhabitable and unsafe conditions.

The Greek authorities are closing the camps, which certainly needs to happen, but they must do this in the right way, consulting with residents to provide safe and suitable housing alternatives.

There has been no consultation with the refugees, who don’t even have clear information as when and where they will be moved, resulting in high levels of  anxiety and fear over their future.

Act now by sending a message to the Minister for Migration Policy, Ioannis Mouzalas.
