Tunisia: Adoption of new constitution must not institutionalize erosion of human rights

A new constitution, adopted by the 25 July referendum in Tunisia entered into force on 17 august 2022. It could lead to the weakening of human rights safeguards and the rule of law, Amnesty International said. The adoption of the new constitution comes after a year marked by a regression on human rights protections in Tunisia.
