This paper examines Morocco’s compliance with its obligations under the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (Convention against Torture). In particular it examines the sharp rise in the number of reported cases of torture or ill-treatment and a new law on “combating terrorism”.
