Israel and the Occupied Territories: ‘Adel Salem Ghandur: administrative detention

‘Adel Salem Ghandur, from ‘Askar Refugee Camp on the West Bank, was arrested on 30 July 1991 and issued with an eight-month administrative detention order. At the appeal hearing held on 14 October 1991 the unclassified evidence alleged that he was active in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and that he had been involved in attacks against suspected collaborators. His appeal was rejected and the detention order confirmed. He is currently in Ketziot detention centre and is due for release on 2 March 1992.
