Israel and the Occupied Territories: ‘Abdullah Muhammad ‘Ayesh Hamaidan – administrative detention

The above-named, who comes from the Hebron area in the West Bank, was arrested in late June 1991 and issued with a five-month detention order. He appealed, and at a hearing held on 21 August 1991, his order was reduced by one month. He is currently due for release in November 1991. Amnesty International is concerned that he may not have been given an adequate opportunity to challenge his detention order. He is currently being held in the Ketziot detention centre, and is due for release in November 1991.
