The above-named, from al-‘Arub Refugee Camp on the West Bank, was arrested on 17 February 1991 and later issued with a six-month administrative detention order. He has been arrested several times before. Na’im al-Khatib is married with nine children; he is said to suffer from kidney disease. At appeal hearing held on 22 April 1991, the authorities apparently alleged, on the basis of the non-classified information, that he was active in the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine. His sentence was reduced by two months.
