This is a joint letter signed by 37 civil society organisations and addressed to members of the UN Human Rights Council, calling on them to support the renewal of the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran at this session, to press Iran to give access to its territory to the Special Rapporteur, to voice concern at the dire situation of human rights in the country and to send a strong message to the Iranian authorities that the cycle of impunity must be broken.
