On 27 August 2024, Egyptian protester, Mahmoud Hussein, also known as the “T-shirt detainee” was released from prison after completing a three-year unjust prison sentence. His conviction stemmed solely from wearing an anti-torture T-shirt with the slogan “A Nation without torture”.
