Amnesty International welcomes the opportunity to
contribute to the call for input by the Special Rapporteur
on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions on
investigation and prevention of unlawful killings by law
enforcement officials. This submission responds to section
5 of the call and summarizes concerns in the policing of
assemblies and use of less lethal weapons in the context
of assemblies. It draws principally from material published
by Amnesty International.
