Migrant domestic workers and trafficking in persons: Prevention, rights protection and access to justice: Submission to the UN Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children

Amnesty International welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the upcoming thematic report of the Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children, on the issue of migrant domestic workers and trafficking in persons. This submission is structured around some of the key questions laid out by the Special Rapporteur, and is not meant to be an exhaustive analysis. It is based on research conducted by Amnesty International between 2019 and 2025 with a focus on the rights of migrant domestic workers in Arab States, particularly Lebanon, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
