Amnesty International joined almost 200 organizations in urging the UN High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet to release her long-overdue report on Xinjiang, China, which she said was being “finalised” in September 2021.
The release of the report without further delay is essential – to send a message to victims and perpetrators alike that no state, no matter how powerful, is above international law or the robust independent scrutiny of Bachelet’s Office.
