Joint NGO submission to the co-facilitators of the General Assembly review of resolution 68/268 on the human rights treaty body system
This submission is prepared by civil society organizations that regularly engage with the UN human rights treaty body system in response to the call for written contributions in advance of the General Assembly’s review of the treaty body system and the effectiveness of the measures taken to strengthen the system in Resolution 68/268 (2014). We greatly value the treaty body system and consider it essential that Member States adequately support this key component of the UN’s human rights architecture.
