In this statement, delivered on 11 September, Amnesty International called on the UN Human Rights Council to mandate a Commission of Inquiry on Venezuela, called on Brazil to take concrete actions in relation to the devastating fires in the Amazon, welcomed the operationalisation of the Independent Investigative Mechanism on Myanmar, and raised concerns about the dire human rights crisis in Kashmir, urging the Council to respond.
