An unofficial source reports that Vadim Petrenko was sentenced to death on 22 May 1991 by a court in the Ukraine. The exact place and the nature of the charges are not known. The sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court of the Ukraine on 6 June 1991. A petition for clemency to the President of the Ukraine is believed to be pending.
