Amnesty International’s oral statement at the 44rd session of the UN Human Rights Council during the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on Belarus expresses concern at the crackdown on human rights in the context of the upcoming presidential election and the persistence of other major human rights concerns, and urges the Council to renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Belarus.
