The 2024 Pride Season in Türkiye (June-July 2024) was met with bans on gatherings, violence against protestors and public vilification by authorities, proving to be no different from previous years when similar restrictions took place. LGBTI rights activists in particular, but also those who stood in solidarity with them were targeted, vilified and prevented by the authorities from fully exercising their right to peaceful assembly.
