Amnesty International presents this submission in advance of the review of Spain’s ninth periodic report on measures taken to implement the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. It focuses on sexual and gender-based violence, including barriers to justice as well as discrimination against migrant and refugee women, including victims of trafficking and lack of protection of the right to adequate housing. It should not be seen as an exhaustive account of the organization’s concerns on the wider topic of discrimination against women.
