Poland: Third-party intervention to the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Igor Tuleya

Amnesty International and the International Commission of Jurists submitted their fourth intervention to the European Court of Human Rights on the issue of the independence of the judiciary in Poland. The case of Tuleya v Poland concerns the disciplinary proceedings against judges. AI and ICJ argue that disciplinary proceedings against a judge affect their professional reputation and their private life as understood by Article 8.1 of the Convention. The submission also presents an analysis on the scope of Article 10 as applied to judges.
