The Netherlands: Racial Profiling, Corporate Crimes and Detention Of Migrants: Amnesty International Submission to the 41st Session of the UPR Working Group, November 2022

This submission was prepared for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the Netherlands in November 2022. In it, Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to the Netherlands in its previous UPR in 2017, including in relation to racial/ethnic profiling, detention of undocumented migrants and rejected asylum seekers, human rights education, mass surveillance and business and human rights. It finds that important steps have been taken in relation to human rights education, but that little progress has been made in other areas. It also assesses rape legislation, and the implementation of the Istanbul Convention’s provisions on sexual violence.
