The release in December 2014 of a 524-page summary of the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) “Study of the Central Intelligence Agency’s Detention and Interrogation Program” has provided additional detail regarding the CIA’s ill-conceived and presidentially authorized foray into counter-terrorism detention operations.
