State of Palestine: Authorities must end arbitrary detention of critics amid coronavirus outbreak
The Fatah-led Palestinian authorities in the West Bank and the Hamas de facto administration in the Gaza Strip have arbitrarily detained critics amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Amnesty International is calling on both authorities to immediately and unconditionally release all those detained solely for peacefully expressing their opinions, however critical of the president or other public figures or institutions, and drop charges imposed on others for the same reason.
