Israel and the Occupied Territories: Riyad Masaymi: administrative detention
The above-named, from the Nablus area of the West Bank, was arrested in late October 1990 and issued with a nine-month administrative detention order on 12 November 1990. At the appeal hearing held on 12 February 1991, the judge reduced the order by appromimately two weeks, to reflect the actual date of arrest. A sceond appeal is due to be held on 1 June 1991. Amnesty International does not yet know the reasons for Riyad Masaymi's detention.
