Submission to the Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH) of the Council of Europe
Amnesty International submits this contribution in the context of the evaluation of the implementation of the Recommendation on measures to combat discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. Despite discrimination being prohibited by European human rights law, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex individuals (LGBTI) in Europe are still discriminated against in the enjoyment of their human rights. This submission contains findings, concerns and recommendations to the member states and Committee of Ministers.
