Armenia: No space for difference
Armenia has come a long way since its declaration of independence in 1991 in allowing civil and political freedoms but has yet to enforce fully its legal commitments to protect and ensure the right to freedom of expression and freedom from discrimination. This briefing documents cases of discrimination and suspected hate crime against LGBTI people in Armenia, as well as incidents of harassment and attacks on individuals exercising the right to freedom of expression, including human rights defenders, activists and journalists.
