Finland: Submission to the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights
This submission is submitted by Amnesty International in advance of the consideration by the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of the sixth periodic report on Finland’s implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. In particular, this submission provides information on discrimination of trans individuals, with particular emphasis on requirements in Finnish law for legal gender recognition, gender-based violence against women and trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
