Cambodia: Ending all threats, detention and prosecution of activists, journalists and human rights defenders
In this oral statement, delivered at the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) on 26 September 2018, Amnesty International calls on the international community to take concrete measures to address the continuing degradation of the human rights situation in Cambodia. The international community should call on the Cambodian government to immediately release all prisoners of conscience, revoke all charges and convictions against persons released without conditions, end the suppres-sion of independent media, and amend or repeal all repressive laws.
