Botswana's candidacy for election to the UN Human Rights Council: Open letter
In this open letter, written on the occasion of Botswana's candidacy for membership of the UN Human Rights Council in the elections scheduled for 20 May 2011, Amnesty International takes the opportunity to note some opportunities for the government of Botswana to promote and protect human rights on the occasion of its candidature. The organization makes recommendations about commitments at the international level and also at national level.
