ILO: AI's concerns at the 87th International Labour Conference, 1-17 June 1999, Geneva
The 87 International Labour Conference will meet in Geneva from 1 to 18 June 1999. In this document Amnesty International highlights some current concerns which may be relevant to discussions in the Committee on Application of Standards, and presents some recommendations which may be relevant to discussions in the Committee on Child Labour. It also describes a number of situations where the governments concerned are clearly failing to implement the provisions of ILO Conventions which they habe ratified: Myanmar, Colombia and Brazil.
