This submission was prepared for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Viet Nam scheduled for 30 April 2024. In it, Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to Viet Nam in its previous UPR, including in relation to the right to freedom of expression and human rights defenders, fair trials and the death penalty.
