Amnesty International calls on the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, to take to take decisive and preventive measures to respect, protect, promote and fulfil the human rights of Ahmadis in Punjab ahead of Eid ul-Adha. Over the past few years, there has been a spike in incidents of violence and harassment against Ahmadis, both in volume and intensity, during and around religious holidays. These incidents violate Ahmadi’s rights to freedom of religion and belief, peaceful assembly, freedom of expression, and equality before the law.
