On 28 June 2024, Mongolia will hold its parliamentary elections. In this human rights agenda, Amnesty International calls on the newly elected members of the State Great Khural (parliament) to make progress on respecting and protecting human rights in the framework of the urban re-development plan, ensuring human rights protection from environmental degradation, eliminating discrimination resulting from unfair taxation and austerity measures, focusing on human rights issues related to technology, protecting the rights to freedom and expression and peaceful assembly as well as ending impunity.
