Amnesty International submits this information to the Human Rights Committee (the Committee) in advance of the examination of the second periodic report of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (hereafter Lao PDR), at the 123rd session of the Committee scheduled to be held in July 2019. The submission features information in relation to the Committee’s List of Issues on Thailand and draws on Amnesty International’s recent research on the country.
