In this submission to the UN Human Rights Committee, Amnesty International emphasizes concerns on violations of the obligation of states to ensure access to justice and effective remedies for victims of past crimes under international law, the right to life, the right to be free from torture and other ill-treatment, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to peaceful assembly and the right to participate in public affairs.
