Labour activist Wang Jianbing was released on 18 March, after completing a three-and-a-half-year sentence for “inciting subversion of state power”. Activists following the case report that he is now in good spirits, and his first priority is taking care of his physical and mental health. He continues to be subject to “deprivation of political rights” for another three years. Sophia Huang Xueqin remains in prison.
