This document summarizes Amnesty International’s concerns about the use of torture in China and comments on the second periodic report submitted recently by the Government of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations on its implementation of the Convention against Torture. This report will be examined by the UN Committee against Torture (CAT) at its next session in April-May 1996.
