The Cyber Security Act 2023 (CSA) is the latest in a series of successive legislation that has repeatedly facilitated the former regime’s crackdown on peaceful dissent and the right to freedom of expression in Bangladesh. This report analyses five speech crimes listed under the Cyber Security Act (CSA). Amnesty International calls on the new government of Bangladesh to repeal the Cyber Security Act or amend it in accordance with international standards.
