This report highlights the situation of children in South Asia who continue to be the victims of human rights abuses. The introduction summarizes the international framework of children’s rights. Sections explore abuses of children in the custody of the state, in the community and family life and in armed conflict. The report concludes with recommendations to the governments of South Asia, to armed opposition groups, to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and to the international community as a whole.
