Between April and July 2017, the illegal raids and violent attacks on homes in Venezuela intensified, according to the findings of this publication. The vast majority of these involved arbitrary actions and violations of the right to a private life, personal liberty and integrity, and due process. These practices have been documented in the past, but they appear to have become more widespread and far-reaching and to have become part of a policy of repression by the Venezuelan state.
