Jamaica: Now is the time to legislate to give Jamaica’s police oversight mechanisms powers to charge and prosecute
Amnesty International calls upon the Jamaican government to amend the INDECOM Act in line with the recommendations made by the Joint Select Committee in 2015 and explicitly give INDECOM the same powers to arrest, charge and initiate prosecutions as law enforcement officers.
