El Salvador: Memorandum to the President
Amnesty International believes that the new administration under President Nayib Bukele has a responsibility to promote and implement major and transformative changes in order to realize the international commitments made by El Salvador in the field of human rights. In this brief document, Amnesty International sets out some of its main concerns about the human rights situation in El Salvador. The organization hopes that the new government will address these, as well as other human rights challenges, with determination in order to promptly bring about the changes needed to make human rights a reality in the country.
