Amnesty International is concerned for the physical safety of Leandro Salazar and Calixto Ramos, two farm workers who “disappeared” after detention by the Colombian police on 13 March 1993 in the department of Huila. According to reports the two men were travelling by motorcycle from the municipality of Oporapa to the municipality of La Argentina when they were intercepted by police. Agents from La Argentina police station have denied their detention, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
