Americas: Urgent measures: Venezuelans need international protection
Faced with the problem of forced migration of Venezuelans crossing borders, one of the most serious and largest problems in the region, the States of the Americas will meet September 3 and 4 in Quito, capital of Ecuador, and also in an extraordinary session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C. on September 5. In this context, Amnesty International sends this position paper to the States and calls on them and the international community to agree on urgent measures to guarantee the rights of Venezuelans needing international protection.
