Amnesty International welcomes Uganda’s engagement in the UPR process and its support for 139 out of 273 recommendations, including on implementing the national human rights action plan; and advancing the right to health; and the right to education for girls. The implementation of these recommendations is critical for improving the human rights situation in the country. We therefore urge the Ugandan authorities to take urgent and concrete steps to implement all supported recommendations.
