Nigeria: Journalist must be released
Nigerian authorities have released human rights defenders Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Adebayo Bakare from the custody of the State Security Service (SSS) in Nigeria’s capital Abuja. Agba Jalingo remains in detention in Calabar prison, Cross River state, southern Nigeria. They all are facing trumped-up charges of treason because they demanded government accountability. Agba Jalingo must be released immediately and unconditionally. All the charges against the three journalists and activists must be dropped.
