In this submission, Amnesty International provides information as stipulated in the General Guidelines for the Preparation of Information under the Universal Periodic Review. Amnesty International notes rights protected in Niger’s Constitution and treaties to which Niger is a party. The organization also raises concerns in relation to serious human rights violations committed by government security forces and armed groups, notably a Tuareg armed opposition group.
