Côte d’Ivoire: Authorities must respect human rights and protect the side of anti-corruption

Amnesty International has seized the opportunity of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Côte d’Ivoire from 13 January to 11 February 2024 – a competition that comes on the heels of the 10th anniversary of the anti-corruption law adopted by Côte d’Ivoire on 20 September 2013 – to launch its “Firmly on the side of anti-corruption” campaign.

In this regard, the organization calls on the Ivorian authorities to respect, protect and promote the rights of anti-corruption human rights defenders, and prevent and combat corruption and its impact on human rights.
