Guinea-Bissau: Attack on the independence of the judiciary
This document outlines Amnesty International's concerns regarding the independence of the judiciary in Guinea-Bissau, which has come increasingly under threat from the government of President Kumba Ialá. The most serious attack was the dismissal in September 2001 of senior Supreme Court judges by presidential decree.
